James St. Clair (or Sinclair)
(Lowland District) Born in Edinburgh; arrived in Valladolid from Scalan; left unordained, October 1777; inherited £ 1,000, spent it, went to Canada, returned to Scotland, inherited more wealth; was in army from, at least, late 1781 until late 1783 (and was an officer, stationed in Dijon, in July 1783).
